audience feedback

After reviewing our film a number of times and during to the audience feedback we received, we now recognize our film may have a strong art house audience appeal. After attending a lecture by Roy Stafford “The Multiplex and Cultiplex” and your study of Winter’s Bone and reference to Norwegian Wood, Submarine and Meeks Cut Off we recognize our film has the same non-mainstream appeal and the posters you designed do work to target a 25+, ABC1 audience as well as a possible younger audience.
We did receive some positives from our focus although we realized that they are not our target audience they did on the whole find the film entertaining. Many of them felt that the sound track was very fitting to our film it helped provoke the emotions we wanted to create. they also picked up on the similarities our film has to that of Romeo and Juliet with the two star crossed lovers and how the film ends in a similar way.
What we really wanted them to understand was they symbolism of the tree how it is a circle of life and that every mile stone in the main characters life takes part around the tree. They seemed to understand and were impressed with this aspect of the production.
The posters and article were received well in general.
